Casa da Roda, is situated near Arganil in the Beiras region of Central Portugal.
This secluded lakeside property with spectacular views of the lake and mountains is set in a conservation area.
This is a perfect holiday for singles, couples, families and groups; an ideal setting for workshops and retreats.
Why not try painting, bird watching, walking, fishing and more.
Taste the local wines and cuisine and enjoy nearby facilities which include horse riding, canoeing, ski-ing, golf and go-kart racing, etc.
You will be spoilt for choice with the selection of destinations to enjoy on your trips out which can include the University City of Coimbra (for shoppers and lovers of architecture), the broad white sandy beaches of the western coast and, to the east, the highest mountains in Portugal at Serra da Estrela.
If you prefer to relax at home, you can take in the views from the salt water swimming pool and heated jacuzzi on the patio. Then, after a relaxing barbeque, you can sit and enjoy the unrivalled sunset over the lake.
General:
House linen and towels are provided. Please bring own swimming towels. During the winter months we can supply gas central heating at extra (cost) price.
Kitchen:
Large farmhouse kitchen/dining room. Gas oven and hob. All kitchen crockery, pots and utensils supplied. Fridge/freezer. Coffee pot, toaster, etc. Iron and table top ironing board supplied.
Living:
Double sofabed, 4 lounge chairs with wood burner. Plenty of books to read, binoculars and board games. Lots of literature/brochures of things to do and places to go in this area. French windows onto front verandah with view over lake
Dining:

Bedrooms:
1 double with ensuite shower room, 1 twin room which can be converted from twin beds into a kingsize bed, a double sofa bed in lounge. The upper level is open plan and can be converted into a sleeping area for up to 4 singles. Double bedroom has french

Entertainment:
TV, satellite, DVD, Video, PlayStation One and stereo system are on the upper level. We have a radio/cd player in the kitchen. Selection of DVDs can be borrowed.
Outside:
Private salt water swimming pool with patio and garden furniture including sun loungers, chairs, table and sun umbrella. Large barbeque with shaded canopy and dining area nearby. Table and chairs on shaded verandah.
